Yesterday we presented our capstone project at Technological University Dublin, marking the end of a year full of evening classes, challenging projects and a lot of coffee to make it through. Doing a postgrad course part time while balancing a full time job was definitely a challenge, but I would highly recommend to anyone that is thinking of upskilling in their area of work or interest. As a marketer with a different academic background, it was a great opportunity to push myself and act on my commitment to continuous learning. The course was designed and ran in collaboration with Marketing Institute Ireland so over the course of the year we have had access to brilliant case studies, guest speakers and scope within our modules that have given me so much inspiration I’ll take with me into my work going forward. A big thank you to all my classmates and a special thank you to my partners in crime Rachel Carolan, Charlotte Hall , James Liston and Jess McCarthy for all the work that went into our final consulting project for Education for Sustainability. It’s been a pleasure 👩🎓

Well done Hari! Not easy at all balancing part time study with work, but so worth it for the final result!

Feeding the world sustainably🌽As part of my Postgraduate course with Technological University Dublin and my module in Doing Business Globally with Jeff Walsh ⚡️, we were tasked with delving deeper into issues around sustainability. After completing Sulitest and getting insights into my own understanding of sustainability, I decided to zoom in on the topic of food production, the impact it has on people & the environment and ways we can all contribute to making changes for the better (as consumers and business professionals). While this is not directly related to the industry where I work, I always take inspiration from Diageo’s Society 2030 ambitions around producing sustainably (the inspiration for picking this topic came from a Regen Agriculture pilot ran in Ireland last year from the Guinness team)! Please like, comment and share your thoughts - they’re very appreciated!#sustainability #foodproduction #tudublin #sustainabledevelopmentgoals

As the year comes to an end, I am looking back at all the projects I have been fortunate to lead and work on alongside an amazing group of people. In 2023, we launched Guinness Live & Rising in spectacular fashion (literally putting a man on the roof of the Guinness Storehouse) and started building an experiential platform in collaboration with amazing on-trade partners and emerging talent that is shaping culture in Ireland. It has been so exciting to work on this project from day 1 to make sure Guinness continues to win ahead of a darkening market. I have learnt so much from so many individuals during this time, but I especially want to call out Róisín Field for being the best mentor I could have had getting this project (and Dermot Kennedy) off the ground, as well as Anna Sablovscaia whose leadership is going to take Live & Rising to new heights in 2024!2023 has also been full of culture work - from leading Guinness' partnership with Seanchoíche bringing contemporary storytelling and socializing on tour in the west of Ireland to launching the most iconic piece of merch I have ever owned (but I am biased!). It's been a lot of email chains and excels, but Amber Brown's guidance through it all made it seem easy! I also had the pleasure to re-join the wider Sponsorship and Events team (Gavin Ó Broin, Rory Sheridan, Lucy O'Byrne, Luíseach Alexander, Niamh Murphy, Róisín Kivlehan (Fitzgerald), Mark Murphy) to lead on all things brand on the 45th Guinness Cork Jazz. It was amazing to see GCJF go even bigger and better this year, with earned reach exceeding 30 million! I can't wait to see what's coming down the line for the festival next year! And a final highlight is definitely getting Alan McAleenan and the rest of the IOI Demand team to do a few stretches and breathwork to support their wellbeing. We have made such incredible progress on the Wellbeing agenda in Diageo Ireland and I am so proud to have been leading this alongside an amazing group of individuals in the Wellbeing Warriors ERG (Sarah Arnold, Louise Carson, Laura Briers). Can't wait for all that's coming down the line in 2024!

This is probably one of the pieces of work I’m most proud of.Leading this partnership over the summer has been wonderful (and travelling the stunning west coast of Ireland was also a bonus)! This piece encapsulates the essence of the partnership, the importance of connection and understanding as we navigate life - all brought to life by the incredibly talented Michael (Mikey) Cullen.A big thank you to the whole team behind this one and to Amber Brown for guiding me through this and being the best mentor I could have asked for during this project. Give it watch and let us know what you think; we are a bit biased but its moving and magical!

What a week at work! Our team launched Guinness Live & Rising, an experiential platform that celebrates and supports the pub as a key space for culture. From getting Dermot Kennedy on the roof of the Guinness Storehouse, to giving the stage to incredible up and coming talent in the home of Guinness and outlets around Dublin, it has been an incredible team effort to bring this to life. A championship to remember🍀We wrapped up the Guinness Six Nations on Saturday and it was probably my favourite day at work so far! Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) winning the Grand Slam at home was nothing short of epic, but what will stay with me is how inspired I have felt by being part of this wonderful team. Their determination and hard work brought all this magic to life! From record-breaking sales, to our biggest responsible drinking campaign with Guinness 0.0, catering stadia at full capacity and hosting guests from around the world - it has all been incredible.I couldn't have asked for a better send off from Sponsorship & Events. I will miss the wider team greatly; late-night ticketing requests with Lucy O'Byrne, site walkthroughs with the fastest walkers Darren Buttle & Harry Connelly, matchdays with Ellen Leonard Bates & John and Thursday team meetings with Rory Sheridan & Gavin Ó Broin. I am so grateful for your guidance through it all! I'm so excited for the next chapter in the Guinness brand team! The most exciting projects are brewing 🔜

My colleague Liam El Sibai and I are delighted to have been shortlisted for Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity Young Lions 2023 competition in the Young Marketers category. We got the opportunity to represent Diageo and pitch to a great panel of judges at IAPI - Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland. This experience has been brilliant; from working on a brief for GOAL Global and learning about the extraordinary work they do, to really putting our creative thinking to the test (and spending a few weekends on Zoom). Thanks to all our colleagues in Diageo that have helped us along journey and to everyone involved in organizing. Best of luck to all teams 🦁🦁
